Cottus gobio קוטוסיים (שם מדעי : Cottidae ) היא משפחת דגים בסדרת העקרבנונאים החיה בימים וכמה מינים גם בנהרות רדודים. הם שוכני קרקעית ברובם הגדול באזורים של אצות קלפ ושל שוניות אלמוגים . הם חיים בעיקר באקלים הממוזג של צפון האוקיינוס השקט .
דגים אלה יכולים להגיע לאורך 10-78 ס"מ. הם בעלי סנפירי זימים מגודלים וראשים עם לסתות גדולות וסנפירי גב ושת מצויצים גדולים. הזנב קטן אך מניע את הגוף המוארך. דגים אלה אינם מצטיינים בשחייה אך יכולים להיצמד לסלעים.
הם טורפים יצורי מים קטנים יותר, בעיקר דגים וסרטנים. לסתותיהם החזקות עוזרות להם גם לשבור צדפות . הם טריטוריאליים ברובם הגדול ועוטים דוגמאות צבעים מרובות, בעיקר על הסנפירים העליונים.
