אילן תלמוד (נולד ב-10 בינואר 1957) הוא סוציולוג ישראלי, פרופסור חבר בחוג לסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה שבאוניברסיטת חיפה.
ביוגרפיה
תלמוד נולד בישראל. השלים תואר ראשון במדע המדינה ותואר שני בסוציולוגיה באוניברסיטת תל אביב. ב-1989 עבר לניו יורק לצורך לימודים באוניברסיטת קולומביה. ב-1992 השלים את עבודת הדוקטורט

בהנחייתו של פרופסור רונלד ברט. לאחר הדוקטורט חזר לישראל והחל להרצות בחוג לסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה באוניברסיטת חיפה. בין השנים 1995–2007 שימש גם כמרצה בכיר בחוג לסוציולוגיה ואנתרופולוגיה באוניברסיטת בר-אילן. עמד בראש החוג ללימודי תואר שני בסוציולוגיה כלכלית באוניברסיטת חיפה.
תלמוד הוא עמית חוקר במרכז שגיא לחקר האינטרנט באוניברסיטת חיפה.[1]
תלמוד גרוש ואב לשתי בנות. הוא נכדו של יעקב תלמוד, מלחין חצר של חסידות גור.

תחומי המחקר העיקריים של תלמוד עוסקים ברשתות חברתיות, יחסים וירטואליים, חקר האינטרנט, סוציולוגיה כלכלית, סוציולוגיה ארגונית והון חברתי בקהילות ארגונים וכלכלה מקוונת.
