נחמן בן-יהודה

נחמן בן-יהודה (נולד בארץ ישראל ב-8 במרץ 1948) הוא פרופסור אמריטוס במחלקה לסוציולוגיה ולאנתרופולוגיה באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים, ולשעבר דיקן הפקולטה למדעי החברה שם.

בסוף שנות ה-70 ותחילת שנות ה-80 עמד בראש הוועדה הבין משרדית והבין מוסדית לבעיית הסמים^[1].

תחומי מחקרו: סטייה חברתית; פיקוח חברתי; תקשורת וסטייה; פאניקות מוסריות; דת ומדינה; בגידות; ניתוח שיח והבנייה חברתית; זיכרון קולקטיבי ומיתוסים; הונאות; הבניית מציאות בסרטי מלחמה.

בן-יהודה נמנה עם תוקפיו של מיתוס מצדה, וטען שממצאי משלחת החפירות במקום, בראשותו של יגאל ידין, עוותו כדי להתאימם למיתוס.
