שגיאת לואה ביחידה יחידה:תבנית_מידע בשורה 261: תבנית מדען ריקה. ג'ורג' ארמיטאג' מילר (באנגלית: George Armitage Miller; 3 בפברואר 1920 - 22 ביולי 2012) היה פסיכולוג אמריקאי, אחד ממייסדי תחום הפסיכולוגיה הקוגניטיבית. הוא גם תרם ללידתו של תחום הפסיכובלשנות ולמדעים הקוגניטיביים באופן כללי.
מילר כתב מספר ספרים והוביל את פיתוח תחום ה-WordNet, מסד נתונים לקסיקלי של קשרים בין מילים ברשת האינטרנט. במאמר[1] שפרסם מילר בשנת 1956 הוא טבע את המושג "המספר הקסום שבע, פלוס או מינוס שתיים". המספר הקסום, שנתגלה על ידי מילר בניסוי שערך, מייצג מגבלה ממוצעת של 7 לקיבולת זיכרון לטווח קצר של האדם. מאמר זה מצוטט למעלה מ 30,000 פעמים והשפיע גם בתחומי הפסיכולוגיה והתרבות הרחבים יותר. הוא אף זכה בפרסים כגון המדליה הלאומית למדע.
