בן מקנטייר (Benedict Richard Pierce Macintyre) נולד ב-25 בדצמבר 1963. הוא סופר והיסטוריון בריטי, מבקר ובעל טור בעיתון הטיימס הלונדוני[1]. היה כתב העיתון בניו יורק, בפריז ובוושינגטון.

ביוגרפיה

אביו הוא אנגוס מקנטייר, יש לו אחות מבוגרת ממנו, ילידת 1962 ואח צעיר יליד 1971. היה נשוי לקייט מויר, סופרת סקוטית ומבקרת ספרים בטיימס גם היא ולו שלושה ילדים. מתגורר בצפון לונדון.
